  4. This is a brief information file on OFFLINE.  Please read the documentation
  5. in the file called OFFLINE.DOC.

  9. A QWK message manager let's you read and reply to your BBS mail offline.
  10. You can enjoy your mail at your own leisure.

  12. PLEASE READ THE DOCUMENTATION FOR OFFLINE.  If you want to print the
  13. documentation, enter this command...   COPY OFFLINE.DOC PRN

  15. ▒▒ Quick Start
  16.  
  17. Setting up is automatic.  Simply Download a QWK mail packet from your
  18. favourite BBS, and run OFFLINE.  It will set itself up the first time you
  19. run it.  You can always change the setup from the main menu at any time.

  21. QWK structure, assumes the user will have ANSI.SYS loaded. You will need
  22. the following line in your config.sys file:   Device=c:\dos\ansi.sys

  38. OFFLINE.CFG will automatically be created by OFFLINE.EXE.  You will also
  39. require an archiver, and an editor.  OFFLINE  supports PKZIP, LHA, LHARC,
  40. and ARJ.

  44. Offline is a copyrighted program.  It is available to NON COMMERCIAL USERS
  45. WITHOUT COST.  To any commercial users, this means anyone who uses the 
  46. software for commercial gain for a "for profit" organization, OFFLINE must
  47. be licensed.  Please see the OFFLINE.DOC for more information.
